KIS is committed to the elimination of mixed steel events in the steel industry and we accomplish this by providing innovative solutions for harsh environments. From simple labels to cutting edge technology, like wireless tracking systems, GPS, drones, and robotics, KIS aims to provide the best technology and systems for fitting our client's needs.

How we Formed

KIS was founded in 2005 by steel industry veteran David Thacker to address his passion: the industry wide deficiencies in product identification and tracking. Operating out of the U.S., KIS has over 60 combined years of metal industry experience developing and implementing material identification systems for industry leaders such as U.S. Steel, Arcelor Mittal, and AK Steel.
